Designed and built by McGruers in 1929, originally called Rowan II she was built for a Dr Carlslaw who was well known for his cruising books, 'Leaves from Rowans Log'. An elegant yacht with a large cockpit and nice counter stern. Sadly an executor sale, the late owner was in the middle of a major refit which was halted. Full details of the exact work done in 2020 are available making it possible to accurately establish the current condition of the boat and what jobs are left for the new owner to take on. The 6th Peter Duck built by Porter and Haylett to the same well respected design. Not a fast boat, but very sturdy with lots of internal volume for their modest length. Designed by Sydney Herreshoff and built by Port Hamble Ltd. Herreshoff aimed to design and small, fast and easily managed but very capable keel boat, and this is exactly what the Islander is. The boats were built here and shipped back to America due to lower production costs and very few examples remained in this country. Light enough to tow behind a moderate car at 1.25 tons, easy to single hand but with a large enough cockpit for a crew. The small cabin has space for 1 or 2 berths to allow weekend camping trips and an outboard mounted over the side is there as a reliable and simple back up. A beautiful looking boat in good sound condition, in commission and being used regularly this season.

Built in Hong Kong in 1981 to a William Atkin design. Traditional design inspired by Colin Archer with a canoe stern, long keel and heavy displacement. The beam on this boat is very generous making her very stable and giving a large internal volume. She was sailed to the UK in 2005 and has been in the present ownership for over 12 years. She appears to be in sound and solid condition, built with teak planking and tropical hardwood frames, floors and keel. 3 double berths plus heads and galley and 6' headroom. Yanmar 32hp diesel. The Vertue II was the GRP version of the famous Vertue design from Laurent Giles, world renowned for their sea worthiness and capability despite their small size. This is the first and best example built and was displayed at the London Boatshow in 1979. Finished to Lloyds 100A1 classification and fitted out below in solid teak giving her the cozy feel of one of her wooden sisters. Well maintained and equipped for single handed sailing, she has been described as the 'greatest offshore cruiser' and certainly for her size that is not an exaggeration. A well built and very capable short handed sailing yacht, the pedigree of the Wanderer design needs no introduction. Built in 1913 on the Wirral, she was found by the current owner in a poor state and given to David Moss Boatbuilders at Fleetwood for a complete rebuild. This work commenced in 2005 and involved a complete rebuild including new keel, floors, planking, many frames, a new deck structure and a complete new rig to the original gaff cutter design. Finished off to a very high standard and maintained properly since completeion of the rebuild. 3 berths with sitting headroom and Baby Blake sea toilet. Small galley with an Origo spirit stove. A very pretty yacht with good pedigree and in superb condition. 2019 survey available.
