Designed by Fred Parker and built to Lloyds 100A1 by Moody's in 1957 for her first owner, H.F. Edwards who was prominent yacht racer of the time. She competed well in her early years before he replaced her with a larger yacht. Teak and mahogany planking, all copper fastened with bronze floors and bolts. The Westernman 40 gaff cutter was designed by Nigel Irens and Ed Burnett with a number of examples being built by the Covey Island Boatworks in Nova Scotia. Strip plank Douglas Fir construction making her very light and strong. Known as a very fast design, this boat won the Pilot Cutter Regatta on two occasions with very impressive race victories. The space below decks is phenomenal with 7 berths including a double quarter cabin and two heads. A traditional looking yacht combined with the benefits of modern design and materials to create a fast, comfortable and eminently capable cruising yacht.
