Lizzie May was the second of Luke Powell's sailing boats he designed and built, following on from Eve. Bigger, faster and more elegant, this second boat was a different beast entirely and proved herself as a fast and weatherly vessel, easily managed by 2 experienced crew and with superb lines. Planked in Larch, all bronze screw fastened. 8 berths in total, 2012 Vetus 42hp diesel. Commercial code ticket until recently, could be easily reinstated. Designed by Port Hamble Ltd and built by Berthon, she was very much designed as a comfortable family cruising boat with a decent rig to give creditable sailing performance but also a larger than normal engine so she will push into the weather to get home under power. Complete new rig including spars and sails in 2009. 4 berths including a separate aft cabin with 2 single berths. Comfortable, smart and very well maintained yacht.

The last remaining Windermere 19 of only 6 built originally. Built on Lake Windermere in 1928, she raced until 1934 when the class was abandoned. Sold by Wooden Ships to the present owner in 2005, she had a major rebuild which included lots of structural work to the hull, a new deck and complete new rig. Now rigged as a bermudan sloop on Collars spruce spars. Outboard engine on a side bracket when required. A beautiful looking boat with superb performance in very nice condition. Complete with a road trailer and all over cover.

One of only a small number of yachts built to this interesting Kim Holman design. She was fairly innovative and forward thinking for her time with a generous beam, shallow draft and low aspect rig, she was surprisingly fast and competed well against well known racing designs of the day. This yacht has been in a long and careful ownership with regular maintenance and care. Planked in Teak and Pitch Pine with a teak on ply deck. Yanmar diesel and manageable yawl rig. A very smart example of an English built carvel Folkboat, built in 1964 in Cowes. Major refit in present ownership started in 2011 with lots of structural and cosmetic work carried out. Brazilian mahogany on oak frames, sheathed plywood deck. Vetus 10hp twin cylinder diesel. Keel stepped alloy mast. 2 berths with sitting headroom as is normal in the Folkboats. A very pretty and attractive yacht in sparkling condition, currently afloat and ready to sail.

Gaff ketch designed and built by Dickies of Tarbert in 1920. She has a well documented history with cruises on both sides of the Atlantic. Pitch pine on oak hull, all copper fastened with a new laid teak deck in 2008. Spacious interior with plenty of period joinery giving 7 berths in total with two separate sleeping cabins aft. Very well maintained in present ownership with lots of updates including a new Perkins 67hp diesel in 2004, recent rigging and sails and a new deck. A true pedigree classic yacht with stunning looks, very well documented history and in fine condition.

The Finesse 21 was another popular shallow draft cruising boat for A.F. Platt on the east coast. His boats were designed to have a large internal volume for their length, shallow draft with a centreplate for creek crawling and a large comfortable cockpit. This boat has been well looked after in the present ownership with a lot of work done in 2014, sadly she is now an executor sale and needs some attention to paint and varnish due to a year of neglect. Spacious boat and very sensibly priced.

A very nice example of the Sovereign ketch which has had a very extensive refit in the last 15 years including new Beta Marine engine and systems, new rig and sails and a new deck. She has only been in the water for 2 months since completion of this work and has only 15 hours on the engine. 4 berths with a good size interior for her length, lots of deck space and a safe cockpit. Pretty, easily managed and capable yacht in very fine condition.

Built in 2003, the concept was for a classic looking yacht with modern performance. The underwater lines of the Mini Transat were used to develop a very slippy and responsive hull yet with the looks and feel of a traditional gaff cutter. Traditionally built in larch on oak with all varnished teak coamings, solid yacht laid 1/4 sawn larch deck. Basic interior with 2 berths. Beta Marine 14hp diesel gives 7 knots. Fin type keel with a lead bulb can be retracted to reduce draft to less than 2', telescopic rudder to match. Will beat anything in light airs. Recent survey has highlighted some areas of work so price has been reduced for a quick sale

The cavalier was a popular design from David Cheverton, well known for his prolific yard on the Isle of Wight. This is one of 6 boats built by the Wing on Shing Shipyard in Hong Kong, conventionally planked with Burma teak copper fastened to Ipol hardwood frames with a solid teak deck. Bukh 24hp diesel. 4 berths with 6'4" headroom throughout the main cabin. Spacious cockpit with full cockpit tent. a pretty and sound cruising boat which has been in a loving 40+ year ownership.
