Harrison Butler designed bermudan cutter. She is the hull of a Z4 tonner with raised topsides. This variation of the Z4 was designed by Cpt O.M. Watts and created a small manageable boat with far more internal volume, only 10 boats were built like this. Major refit in 2013 with a new mast and new deck sheathing, hull stripped to bare wood, re-caulked and repaired as necessary. Sailed from Shetland to Cornwall in 2016 and used extensively around the Cornish coast. Very solid structural condition, 2013 survey available.

Designed as a stretched 12 tonner offering a little more space and sweeter lines. Previous owner carried out a lot of work including new keel bolts, engine rebuild, new mast and rigging, upholstery and a good inventory of modern equipment. One of the smaller yachts built by David Hillyard in Littlehampton, launched in 1957, she is 5 Thames Tonnes. Bought by the present shipwright owner in 2015, she had a small refit with some structural repairs carried out before being sailed to Kent where she is now based. Designed by Buchanan and built to Lloyds 100A1 this pretty and compact cruiser racer has been very well cared for in the present long ownership. Mahogany on Canadian Rock Elm frames, sheathed plywood deck. Vetus 20hp diesel. 4 berth interior including 2 quarter berths with over 6' headroom. Easily managed by two people but she has space for a bigger race crew if required, a lovely well maintained presented yacht with lots of up to date gear, sails and equipment.

Built by the Falmouth Marine School students under professional supervision, she is based on the traditional Sennen Cove Lugger. Larch on oak, long keel,
2-masted with dipping lug on the mainsail and standing lug on the mizzen. Inboard Beta diesel, two rowing positions. A solidly built stable boat but light enough to be towed. Ideal for exploring estuaries or inshore sailing in summer.

Built by Aldous of Brightlingsea in 1914 to a Linton Hope design, originally a gaff yawl with flush decks. Bought by present owners in 1976 and cruised extensively since with trips across the Atlantic and all round northern Europe, including Iceland in 2016. Philip Rhodes gaff cutter built in America in 1930. She had a rich early racing career, losing narrowly to Dorade in the 1931 Transat. She remained in Europe after that race and had a major rebuild with the present owner in 2007. 6 berths including 2 double quarter cabins, Yanmar 100hp diesel. A stunning and very smart boat in superb condition, proven as a fast regatta yacht but also very comfortable for family cruising. NEW VIDEO

This yacht was built in steel to the Alan Pape Ebbtide design and launched in 1994. She was built with a counter which extends her length and gives her much prettier lines. Very spacious yacht for her length with a generous beam, lots of headroom a double forward cabin, settee berths and a large quarter berth. Perkins 34hp diesel with calorifier. Major works in present ownership including new rigging and hull repairs. A very solid and capable yacht but now in need of some remedial work.

9 ton Hillyard built in 1955. Converted to a bermudan cutter with a bowsprit and roller furling jib. 4 berths including a large double in the aft cabin and 2 saloon settee berths. A totally unique ship in as new condition built to a very high standard using top quality materials. Built by one man over 15 years, sadly he is now too old to use her as he had planned.
