The Westernman 40 gaff cutter was designed by Nigel Irens and Ed Burnett with a number of examples being built by the Covey Island Boatworks in Nova Scotia. Strip plank Douglas Fir construction making her very light and strong. Known as a very fast design, this boat won the Pilot Cutter Regatta on two occasions with very impressive race victories. The space below decks is phenomenal with 7 berths including a double quarter cabin and two heads. A traditional looking yacht combined with the benefits of modern design and materials to create a fast, comfortable and eminently capable cruising yacht.
