Very tidy IOD, another of these breath takingly beautiful keel boats. Built by Bjarne Aas in 1958, planked in mahogany, all copper fastened with a lead keel. New teak over ply deck with varnished king plank and coverboards. Yanmar 1GM engine. This design came about to develop the skills of crews and helmsmen, competing against each other under the fairest of conditions. Although still keenly raced around the world, they also make lovely coastal cruising yachts, able to take more weather than most one design yachts and with a great turn of speed.
