Very well known yacht on the single handed offshore racing circuit, Alices Mirror was built by the legendary Adrian Thompson using cold moulded diagonally planked mahogany. A now rare example of the traditional counter-sterned Danish fishing boat, originally built with sail. Lots of work done in the last 20 years by current but ill health has put a halt to the project. A fine looking powerful yacht designed by Frenchman Langevin and built for the current owner by Whisstocks of Woodbridge in 1982. Successfully raced in the Round Britain and AZAB. The last one of these popular little cruising ketch's to be built, first designed for the write Arthur Ransome. Iroko planked on oak frames, 4 berths in a comfortable and spacious cabin. An original Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter built by Halford of Gloucester in 1899. Her working life was short and she was sold off as yacht in 1907, subsequently voyaging many thousands of miles with various owners. The current owners have undertaken a major yet sympathetic rebuild in recent years and she is now a glowing example of the majestic Pilot Cutters. The recently reduced price reflects the location of the boat, not the condition or general market trends towards Pilot Cutters.
