She was the first steam powered fishing vessel in her area and was not liked by the local sailing fisherman who saw her as having an unfair advantage. Traditional wooden gaff yawl for sale

The Falmouth Quay Punt was a class of working vessel around the port of Falmouth. The design was yawl rigged with a plumb stem, elegant transom and a god depth in hold. The lines were used often to build yachts as they had proved to be excellent sea boats and easily handled. This is one of the smaller examples at 26' but no less pretty or capable. Major 1990 refit in preparation for a long voyage which did not happen. 2011 Beta engine, 2023 keel bolts. A very pretty boat with good headroom and interior space, full of charm, history and pedigree.

Wooden Golant Gaffer sailing boat for sale

A lovely and almost as-new example of Roger Dongrays Golant Gaffer design, built by the owner. the hull was completed in 2017 but the boat was not launched until 2021 and has only been afloat a few times since then. Complete with an excellent road trailer, fitted out to make launch and retrieval from a slipway a very simple affair. Yanmar 1GM10 diesel engine. 2 berths with sitting headroom and a fitted Porta Potti heads. Excellent sails from Jeckells in as new condition. The Golant Gaffer is a clever take on the traditional gaff cutter working bat, built with epoxy strip plank for easy maintenance and light enough to tow behind a moderate vehicle. Because she can be launched on a slipway and the rig set up by hand, the running costs of a boat like this are very acceptable without compromising on looks.

Inchcape 45 ft motor sailer built by the Eyemouth Boatbuilding Company in 1964. Heavy duty and capable vessel based on the traditional fishing vessels of the east coast of Scotland. Heavily built with iroko planking on sawn oak frames. Gardner 6LW diesel engine. The extraordinary beam of nearly 16' makes for a terrific amount of space and volume within the boat making these boats very comfortable for live aboard cruising. The headroom in the saloon is nearly 7'. 8 berths in 3 cabins including a large double. Very solid, comfortable and capable cruising vessel.
