Gaff ketch designed and built by Dickies of Tarbert in 1920. She has a well documented history with cruises on both sides of the Atlantic. The Finesse 21 was another popular shallow draft cruising boat for A.F. Platt on the east coast. His boats were designed to have a large internal volume for their length, shallow draft with a centreplate for creek crawling and a large comfortable cockpit. This boat has been well looked after in the present ownership with a lot of work done in 2014, sadly she is now an executor sale and needs some attention to paint and varnish due to a year of neglect. Built in 2003, the concept was for a classic looking yacht with modern performance. The underwater lines of the Mini Transat were used to develop a very slippy and responsive hull yet with the looks and feel of a traditional gaff cutter. Traditionally built in larch on oak with all varnished teak coamings, solid yacht laid 1/4 sawn larch deck. Basic interior with 2 berths. Beta Marine 14hp diesel gives 7 knots. Fin type keel with a lead bulb can be retracted to reduce draft to less than 2', telescopic rudder to match. Will beat anything in light airs.
