Laurent Giles Salar 40 built by Moodys in 1966. She attended the London Boat show in that year and was awarded the Boat of the Show prize. Planked in mahogany on steamed oak timbers with a sheathed plywood deck. New Perkins Sabre engine in 2011, new standing rigging in 2009. She has a comfortable and sheltered open backed wheelhouse with wheel steering. Forward and aft sleeping cabins each with a heads compartment. Another great design from Kim Holman, the Super Sovereign was a development of the smaller Sovereign ketch with more berths, more volume and a larger rig. Built in 1968 at Uphams for Jack Holman and used by him until she was sold to the present owners in 1970. Very well maintained and used regularly every year. Iroko hull all copper fastened with teak coamings. Spacious interior with 6 berths and full standing headroom. Spacious and safe cockpit. Very nice example of Holmans work, a superb cruising boat in very tidy condition.
