Built in Holland for the retiring captain of the Dutch Royal Yacht, she was a no expense spared build funded by the Dutch royal family. It is said that Queen Wilhelmina and Queen Beatrix both learnt to sail in this yacht. She is a stretched example of the Englyn design, slightly bigger in all dimensions. A superb gaff cutter design from the board of Ed Burnett, sister ship to the well known Zinnia she was built by MB Yachts of Dorset in 2001. The third boat built to this now legendary design, she was completed to the very high standards expected of MB Yachts and is a wonderful blend of traditional design with modern materials. With lines clearly inspired by the traditional working boats, Burnett has created a wonderful yacht with capability and performance beyond that of her moderate 30' length on deck. Built to an American design by two Swedish brothers and sailed by them to the West Indies and back in the early 1960's. Bought by the present owner in 2002, she has been through several major periods of refit including all new laminated oak frames, a new interior including all systems, new teak deck in 2023 and new rigging in 2026. An unusual boat here in the UK with her very shallow draft at only 3' with the centreboard up. This allows access to areas most 40' yachts cannot go, including the European canals and makes her a very versatile and attractive design. Her rig is also unusual with a 'mule sail' on a roller between main and mizzen masts. The rig is perfectly set up for single handed sailing with roller headsails and a boomed staysail. Designed by Kim Holman, a prolific and highly successful British naval architect responsible for numerous superb designs of note. Built by the reputable Whisstocks Yard in Woodbridge who frequently took on Holmans builds. The ketch rig is easily handled and offers numerous sail configurations depending on weather conditions and point of sail. Designed and built by Camper and Nicholson in 1951 with an elegant sheer line and the tell tale C&N coachroof and doghouse design. All teak hull. Elegant yacht with 5 berths and 6'6" headroom. Percy Dalton designed, built by Dartmouth based shipwright Peter Nash and launched in 1980. Iroko hull copper fastened to oak timbers. Recent new deck of pine over marine plywood. New transom 2025. Gaff cutter rig on solid pine mast. Ford 85hp diesel. Completed several Trans Atlantic voyages, the first of which she completed from the Canaries to St Lucia in 17 days. She has proven to be a very fast yacht, competing in many classic regattas including Antigua Classics. Because she was designed as a yacht and not a converted working boat she has a superb deep cockpit and a comfortable spacious interior. Eye catching, fast and structurally sound.

Gaff ketch yacht designed and built by Arthur Holt Ltd in 1977. Designed as a solid and capable cruising boat, planked in iroko all bronze screw fastened to laminated iroko frames. Heavy and very strong construction in excellent condition. Large volume interior due to the 12'+ beam. 8 berths including a large double in the forepeak. Camper & Nicholson were very sharp during the transition from wood to GRP and could see what the future was bringing. This Nicholson 36 was one of their early forays into GRP construction, designed by Charles Nicholson and actually built for Peter Nicholson. Because of their inexperience with the new material, they had the hull moulded by Halmatic who were the UK experts at the time. The design is typical of the C&N yachts of the time with elegant lines, and was finished with a painted wooden deck and varnished mahogany cockpit and superstructure so she looks like a true classic yacht. 7 berths with 1.84m headroom. Easily handled yacht, well mannered and very capable in classic yacht regattas.

Built in Denmark in 1934 as a fishing vessel, she worked in Denmark and the UK until sold to present shipwright owners in 1996. Converted to her current configuration between 1996-2000 with an elegant topsail schooner rig and comfortable interior giving 8 berths with excellent headroom. Gardner 6LXB 120hp diesel gives economical cruising. The boat holds an MCA Category 2 commercial licence for 12 persons and will be sold complete with all the safety gear and other equipment associated with the commercial licence. She has also served as a great family cruising boat over the last 25 years and due to her size is easily handled by a very small crew. The second Vertue ever built, Sally II was launched in 1937 by Elkins who went on to become a prolific builder of Vertue yachts. Planked in pitch pine with bronze strap floors, lead keel and bronze keel bolts, all first class materials. Shipwright owned for 30 years she has a good 2019 survey and has been a reliable and safe cruising boat on the Scottish west coast for her owner. The Vertue is an iconic design from the 20th century, perhaps the most successful small cruising boat ever and this is one of the special and sought after early examples of which only 8 were built.
