Buchanan Vashti Mk3, also known as the Queen Class 38, was the GRP version of Buchanans famous Vashti design, a yacht that proved her mettle as a fast and capable cruiser racer in the 1960's. Her robust GRP hull was moulded by Tylers and then fitted out by Priors who were used to building wooden boats, so her interior has a distinctly classic feel, something that often lacks on GRP yachts. Well maintained and continually upgraded with a complete new rig in 2022, race spec sails and a full inventory. A true classic in her own right, she qualifies for the classic regattas and makes for a very competent cruiser racer yacht with exquisite lines.
Now in only her 3rd ownership, this blue water ocean cruising yacht was designed and built for extended ocean sailing with a very strong cold moulded hull. She has proven herself with numerous Atlantic crossings and a circumnavigation. With generous beam her internal volume is huge giving excellent headroom and 8 berths in 4 cabins. The cockpit is well sheltered from the elements for comfortable sailing in warm and cold climates. A fantastic big yacht with a proven track record, well equipped and ready for the next adventure.
Laurent Giles bermudan cutter launched in 1938. A boat very typical of Giles designs, she bears many resemblances to the first Vertue Andrillot. In present ownership for many years, she has been sailed extensively and professionally maintained, however in recent years her condition has declined due to the health of the owner. a big volume heavy displacement yacht with 6 berths and a good Volvo Penta D2-55 engine. This boat certainly has a project element to her but is able to be sailed away as she is.
Selina King was designed by Fred Shepherd and built by Harry King & Sons in 1938 for the author Arthur Ransome, the biggest yacht he had built. After passing through several owners and crossing the Atlantic, she was bought by the current owner while lying neglected in Bermuda and a major refurbishment commenced, ending with her being launched in 2023 at the same yard in which she was built in Suffolk. A largely rebuilt boat with lots of new equipment and hardware. Rich with history, this elegant yacht is rather special and will bring much joy to her next custodian.
A beautifully built and impeccably well maintained gaff sloop built at Kings & Sons of Burnham on Crouch. Top class pitch pine planking which was found in excellent condition during her major renovation. Sailed extensively in long current ownership, cruising Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall and Brittany, a far more capable boat than her size might portray. Up to date systems and equipment, very nicely cared for and absolutely ready for the coming season.

Capable and well equipped pocket cruising boat currently located ashore in Hampshire.
Lyle Hess 32 designed by the famous American naval architect and built in Malaysia by the Haji Abdullah Bin Muda shipyard in 1991. She was built for the son of high ranking politician Teo Eng Tat. Built from the hardwood Chengal which is a resilient and highly durable wood. Major works completed by UK yards in 2007 and 2018 including a complete new deck, interior and new gaff cutter rig in 2018. The usual Hess rig was bermudan cutter on an alloy mast, this new gaff rig looks superb and makes her go extremely well. A very smart and well cared for yacht.

Designed and built by the owner, a time served Master Shipwright, this the 3rd yacht he has built for himself. Finished to an incredibly high standard throughout, she is an exquisite yacht in both design and build quality. Inspired by the West Country working boats, she was designed as a blue water cruising yacht that could be sailed easily by husband and wife in all weather conditions. This she has proven herself to be with voyages from Norway to the Mediterranean in recent years. 4 berths in a stunning interior. Easily managed bermudan cutter rig. A rather unique and very special yacht offered reluctantly for sale.
Camper & Nicholsons yard were quick to realise the change in yacht construction when it came, and saw the future would be with GRP. They looked to adapt early on and built several designs in the new material, most notably the Nicholson 36. This example was built in 1962, still in the heyday of British wooden yacht building, and is one of their recognisable C&N yacht designs but with a GRP hull. The hull was laid up by Halmatic Ltd, experts in the new material, and finished by Campers with a varnished mahogany superstructure, cockpit and nice classic interior. These boats were raced a lot in the early years and will still provide their owners with exciting classic regatta racing, but are also excellent cruising yachts. A nice example of the class, well presented and ready to sail this season at £35,000woodenships.co.uk/sailing-yacht/camper-nicholson-36/... See MoreSee Less
