Ormidale Class motor yacht designed by John Bain and built by James A. Silver Ltd, Rosneath in 1964.

The Ormidale was one of the flagship classes for the Silvers yard, a great size of yacht that offered numerous sleeping cabins, good deck space, good cruising range and sea keeping yet in a manageable sized yacht.  These are well proportioned, practical and elegant looking yachts.

Although she had some significant work under a previous owner in Scotland, the boat has been laid up afloat for a few years and is now considered a project.

Around 2016/2017 the vessel was surveyed and problems identified.  A professional yard carried out repairs including a new transom, some planking replacement and a new top to the stem.  In 2017 the boat was surveyed again and a copy of this report is available showing the condition of the vessel at that point.

The current owner will commission the engines and can move her to a nearby location, possibly Ramsgate, in order for a buyer to have an out of water survey carried out should they so wish.
