Single engine motor yacht built by Chamans boatyard of Bembridge in 1965, she would no doubt have been used around the Solent as a comfortable weekend boat. She has a large engine with plenty of power to overcome the currents and a sheltered wheelhouse. Below decks is enough space for comfortable weekend living with 2 berths and a heads.
Construction
Hull
Clinker planked in 7/8″ mahogany all copper fastened to steam bent oak timbers.
Internal ballast in the form of iron pigs.
Decks and cockpit
Yacht laid teak decks over a marine plywood sub deck. narrow side decks with a generous aft and fore deck.
Very spacious open cockpit with laid teak sole. Engine box is varnished teak with a laid and scrubbed teak lid.
Helm position to port with entrance hatch to the accommodation on the starboard side.
Superstructure
All in epoxy sheathed marine plywood. Coachroof forward giving plenty of headroom in the cabin. Large open backed wheelhouse with a long overhang on the roof for shelter. Varnished tea handrails fore and aft on the superstructure.
Machinery
Engine
Ford Lehman 70hp 4cyl diesel with indirect fresh water cooling. Single lever control of a 3:1 Hurth gearbox and stainless shaft to a 3 blade centreline bronze propeller.
Only 1300 hours from new.
Tanks
200l stainless fuel tank.
100l stainless water tank
75l stainless waste tank
Batteries
3 x 12v batteries for engine starting and domestics.

Standing headroom under the coachroof with a berth each side and heads compartment forward.
