Enquire about Rescue and Target Towing Launch No.2748

Please fill in this form and we will contact you about this boat

Built by Vospers as a Rescue and Target Towing Launch in 1952, she saw service in the UK and the Med. Bought by the current owner in 2003 who started a major refit by replacing the all the outer diagonal planking of the hull above the waterline. Since that time she has been fitted with twin Fiat AIFO V8 625hp marine diesels which are in running condition making her a mobile vessel. The interior is basically empty apart from the original bulkheads. Recently an area of soft timber has been found in the bows and the owner can no longer carry on with the preservation of this historical vessel, so she is being offered at the value of her machinery.

MFV project

Large MFV built by Herd and Mackenzie in 1960 as a Seine Netter. Converted at some stage in the past with the idea of doing charter work. Recently abandoned and seized by the harbour authority, she is now being offered for sale on the understanding she is removed as soon as possible. Gardner 8LXB diesel recently submerged and now seized. This is a large scale project that is not for the faint hearted or inexperienced, she will require considerable investment of time and money to get her seaworthy once again, but there are very few of these larger MFV's left so is a good project for someone looking for this kind of boat.
