Wooden Ships Comments

10 ton Hillyard ketch built by Hillyards in 1968.

One of the later design evolutions with a hard chine to increase internal volume.

Bought by the present owner in 2014, she had previously been in the same ownership for over 40 years and had been maintained to a very high standard.  In the present ownership she has had a thorough cosmetic overhaul inside and out making her a very smart and tidy yacht.  She has also had a new rudder stock, re-caulked garboard seams and all new sail and hatch covers.

She also has a relatively new all over winter cover to fit around the masts making an ideal storage environment when ashore.

This is a very smart yacht but also quite original that has not been messed about with too much.  She is an extremely comfortable cruising boat for a couple with a large aft berth and spacious saloon, plus she is very easy to handle with her moderate split rig meaning no individual sail is particularly large or difficult.

A really nice quality Hillyard with plenty of volume for her length and ideal for liveaboard cruising.

Survey from 2018 available.
