Wooden Ships Comments on this 39′ Laurent Giles Bermudan Cutter

Designed by Jack Laurent Giles and built by J. Hinks & Son, Appledore in 1938.

She is a very typical Laurent Giles design, very similar to the first Vertue Andrillot in many ways but larger all round.  An incredibly solid and well mannered yacht as would be expected with her pedigree and heritage.

In present ownership for many years, a combination of age and health has forced the decision to put her up for sale.  Despite a dedicated owner, recent years have seen the condition of the yacht slip and there will be work for a new owner to address.  The yacht is currently afloat with plans to use her for some local sailing this summer.
