40′ American Bermudan Cutter

Wooden Ships Comments on this 40′ American Bermudan Cutter

A Don Curry designed bermudan cutter built in America in 1985 by Don Curry and Peter Browne.  Double ended yacht similar to some of the William Atkin designs.

This is a sleek looking yacht with elegant proportions and clearly will go well under sail.

Bought by the late owner a few years ago, sadly now being offered for sale by the family.  Much is not known about her, although we know a previous owner imported her the Florida in 2009 and we have evidence of VAT payment.

There is a brand new suit of sails that have never been bent on, the engine runs and she is sitting safely afloat.  There is work to do and she will need a very good tidy up and sort out, hence the attractive asking price.  The late owner was an experienced wooden boat owner and worked professionally as a shipwright so a buyer can take confidence in the fact he would have looked after her properly.
