Wooden Ships Comments

The BB17 is a Norwegian design and a large sister to the very sweet looking BB11.  The BB17 was a welcome upgrade, offering a larger cockpit and enough interior space for a couple of berths and some shelter making her ideal for weekend sailing.  Designed by Borge Bringsvaerd and built in Norway in 1965.

Owned by a professional boatyard who have a specialist sail loft with an interest in modern junk rigs, this particular BB17 was converted to  a standing junk rig which offers performance and simplicity.  This conversion was done in 2018 together with a more general refit bringing the whole boat up to a smart and sound condition.  She is sitting on a virtually new galvanised road trailer that is included in the sale.
