Wooden Ships Comments on this Eugéne Cornu Bermudan Ketch
Designed by Eugéne Cornu ad built by L. Bezier Yachts, France in 1966.
Bought by the present owner in 2004, she had been operating as a successful charter vessel in Turkey for 15 years. The owner was drawn to the interior layout which is separated into 3 very distinct areas, allowing for 6 guests to cruise together in comfort without being ‘on top’ of one another. Her easily handled ketch rig gives plenty of sail plan options which is great when sailing short handed but also drives her on well giving her very acceptable performance for some of the classic regatta racing that she has taken part in.
The boat was cruised around the Med until 2011 when she returned to the UK, being based here on the south coast with local cruising and some classic regatta racing.
Over the last 20+ years the current owner has had the boat professionally maintained with notable upgrades including a new teak deck in, new main mast and rigging in and a new engine in 2012.
Survey reports from 2023 and 2025 are available on request.
A very fine and attractive yacht in sea going commission.
