Wooden Ships Comments on this Holman 26 sloop

Designed by Kim Holman and built by Whisstocks of Woodbridge in 1963.  The commissioning owner had a bronze foundry and specified bronze for the chain plates and keel bolts rather than the standard galvanised steel which sets her apart from nearly every other Holman 26.

She has always been based around the east coast of England and has been in present ownership since 1998 with trips to Holland, Belgium and around the east coast.  She has been well maintained and used regularly and is in good condition, ready to go and in use for this season.

The Holman 26 is a highly respected boat, known for their ease of handling and seaworthiness, and like most Holman designs they are nicely balanced and a joy to sail.  They offer excellent headroom and interior space for a boat of only 26′ length on deck, and the cockpit has plenty of space for a crew of 4.

A nice tidy example of this ever popular design, fully equipped and ready to go.  The owner wishes to scale up to a larger yacht so is offering the boat for sale at a very attractive price in order to sell her this season.
