Wooden Ships Comment on this Holman Sterling

The Sterling is one of the most able cruising yachts of this size, the perfect small yacht. She gives excellent performance under sail, a very comfortable motion, buoyant and dry in a chop.

Her accommodation both in the cock-pit and in the cabin makes her perfect for two and with  a practical quarter berth,  still acceptable for a family with 2 or 3 children.

The cock-pit is deep and safe, well sheltered by an excellent spray-hood and the side decks can be safely negotiated at sea.

The cabin has a remarkable feel of space for a little yacht with good head-room, viable heads and galley and a totally separate fore cabin.

She has been in the present family ownership since 1978,  based in Dun Laoghaire until 2010, and has cruised around Ireland, Scotland, Scilly Isles, Welsh coast and West Cork many times.
