Wooden Ships Comments on this Luke Powell Gaff Cutter Yacht

Built by Luke Powell in 1997 to his own design based on the Scillonian pilot cutters.  Eve has worked since her early years as a charter vessel under the banner of Classic Sailing in St Mawes through which she has helped countless people learn to handle a gaff rig and simply enjoy holidays afloat off the Cornish coast.

Licensed to Category 2 under the MCA code of practice for commercial work.  Next 5 year survey required 2017.

There are very few gaff cutter yachts in this size range available on the market, they offer good capability at sea, suitable accommodation and comfort balanced with ease of handling.  The rig is small enough that she can be handled easily and safely by a small crew with light spars and sails, wide side decks and an easy motion at sea.

Very large inventory including full electronic navigation gear and all necessary safety equipment.

A fine boat which is very well known and much admired by many.  Her extensive commercial sailing career has meant that she has been well maintained on a regular basis and all gear and equipment is complete and up to date, last major refit period in winter 2013/2014.  This is an opportunity to purchase a very well found vessel which could be used either as private yacht or continue in her charter role where she has the benefit of a well known name and good reputation.

Survey reports and line drawings available.
