Wooden Ships Comments on this Miss Silver Class Motor Sailer
Miss Silver Class motor sailer designed by John Bain and built by James A. Silver Ltd of Rosneath in 1963.
Major rebuild by Ocean Yacht Company, Falmouth 2003-2005. In current ownership since , she has been professionally maintained regardless of expense and is presented as a very smart and useable classic yacht.
The Miss Silver design is a motor sailer type of yacht with a central wheelhouse, aft sleeping cabin and forward living accommodation. The rig is moderate in size for easy handling with modern self tailing winches. The engine is a large 50hp Beta giving plenty of power for a boat of this tonnage.
