South Coast One Design SCOD
Wooden Ships Comments on this South Coast One Design SCOD
South Coast One Design, commonly known as the SCOD, designed by Charles A. Nicholson and built by Burnes Shipyard Ltd of Bosham in 1956.
Bought by the current owner in 2020, she has undergone several years of refit in between successful sailing seasons. The work has included structural repairs of new keel bolts, deck repairs, rudder rebuild, complete cockpit rebuild and checking fastenings plus all new standing and running rigging, new wiring and a general cosmetic overhaul.
The SCOD is known as a fast and seaworthy small cruising boat with active fleets racing around the Chichester harbour area. They offer excellent headroom for a boat of this length, 4 full length berths and a safe deep cockpit.
This boat is well equipped and has a detailed recent refit list. Sensibly priced to reflect the owners situation, a good honest boat with proven track record.
Detailed survey from 2020 prior to the refit available on request.
