Golant Gaffer launched in 2006 after an 8 year build. Finished to a high standard with several minor alterations, approved by the designer, that make her stand apart from other Golant gaffers. Kim Holman designed Sterling built by Uphams in 1963. Pitch Pine and mahogany planking on CRE frames. The Glen Class was designed by Alfred Mylne and most of them were built in Bangor, Northern Ireland. It was a competitive fleet and there are still 25 boats racing in Strangford Lough and Dublin Bay. This boat was bought by the p[resent owners as a complete wreck and destined for the chainsaw. The hull was rebuilt, new frames where necessary and totally re-fastened and a new deck and deck structure fitted plus new interior. The rig is not to the original plans having been replaced by a previous owner after a dismasting! Lovely smart yacht on a brand new road trailer, ready to go sailing.

Unusually she has bronze chainplates and keel bolts as her commissioning owner ran a bronze foundry. Sailed extensively around the east coast of England and over to Holland and Belgium, a well equipped yacht in tidy condition with an extensive maintenance record. 4 berths, private heads compartment, large chart desk and 2 burner spirit stove.
