A fascinating part of our maritime history, the Lynher is a Tamar Sailing Barge built to carry cargoes around Plymouth and the surrounding area. Rescued from the mud as a derelict hulk and rebuilt by a previous owner, she underwent another major rebuild which was completed in 2017 and she went into commercial work in 2019. The Lynher has been kept as original as possible with a deck layout much as it would have been when she was working. Below decks her cargo hold has been kept as a large open space, perfect for exhibition work. Of course this could be adapted to suit any future need and she could be looked on as a blank canvas for her new owners. Fitted with a Beta 75hp main engine and an electric wing engine to assist with manoeuvres. This is a very special vessel with a fascinating history.

East coast oyster smack built by Kidby & Sons of Brightlingsea in 1907. Complete professional rebuild finished in 2003, all new planking, frames, deck and interior. In present ownership since 2010, work has included all new spars and rig upgrades with recent racing sails. The engine with twin hydraulic drive legs gives her 7 knots cruising speed and excellent manoeuvrability. Interior has 9 berths, enough space for a full race crew. A jewel in the smack fleet, she is known as a fast boat and has been maintained irrespective of cost for the last 14 years.

Percy Dalton designed, built by Dartmouth based shipwright Peter Nash and launched in 1980. Iroko hull copper fastened to oak timbers. Recent new deck of pine over marine plywood. New transom 2025. Gaff cutter rig on solid pine mast. Ford 85hp diesel. Completed several Trans Atlantic voyages, the first of which she completed from the Canaries to St Lucia in 17 days. She has proven to be a very fast yacht, competing in many classic regattas including Antigua Classics. Because she was designed as a yacht and not a converted working boat she has a superb deep cockpit and a comfortable spacious interior. Eye catching, fast and structurally sound.

Built in Denmark in 1934 as a fishing vessel, she worked in Denmark and the UK until sold to present shipwright owners in 1996. Converted to her current configuration between 1996-2000 with an elegant topsail schooner rig and comfortable interior giving 8 berths with excellent headroom. Gardner 6LXB 120hp diesel gives economical cruising. The boat holds an MCA Category 2 commercial licence for 12 persons and will be sold complete with all the safety gear and other equipment associated with the commercial licence. The boat has appeared at numerous traditional boat festivals around the UK and can command significant appearance fees due to the visual impact of the schooner rig. She has also served as a great family cruising boat over the last 25 years and due to her size is easily handled by a very small crew. Built in Ireland to fishing vessel specifications, the build was completed by an RNLI engineer and she was launched in 1991. A very robust hull of iroko planking on oak frames. RNLI alloy wheelhouse gives her a purposeful look. Her hull shape is unusually fine in the ends meaning she sails surprisingly well, this is not a blunt fishing boat hull. Interior fit out gives 6 berths in 2 sleeping cabins plus the saloon. New Beta 90hp engine in 2022. A large rig gives her surprisingly good performance under sail. New rigging 2018 and recent sails. Built in 1959 for ocean racer Selwyn Slater as a larger development of his previous and successful Uomie. Ramrod had a distinguished racing career and was one of 3 boats in the '59 winning Admirals Cup team as well as victories in a number of other offshore races. Planked in two layers of Makore on oak frames with a sheathed plywood deck. Nanni diesel 37hp fitted in 2004. Big powerful rig with a good suit of sails. She is a true pedigree offshore boat from a spectacular era of British yacht design.

Described as a 'fifty-fifty' yacht by her designer W.G. McBryde, this fine vessel cleverly blends the benefits of both the sailing boat and the motor yacht in a way that many motor sailers seem to miss. Designed by Scot Daniel Fyfe, a relation to the first William fife of Fairlie and built on the Clyde in 1895 for Noel Guinness of the brewing family. Her lines are based on those of the Loch Fyne Skiff, a capable, seaworthy and very attractive Scottish vessel. Rebuilt by the current shipwright owner over a 27 year period, launched in 2022.
