Sparkman & Stephens Sloop on mooring

Designed by K. Aage Nielsen of the S&S office, built in Cuba for a wealthy yard owner in 1942. Honduras mahogany hull all bronze fastened. 7 berths with much original panelled joinery. A superb elegant 54ft sailing boat with a well-documented history, perhaps capable of taking on the big boys in the classic sailing yacht regattas but equally at home cruising with the family. Inspected, photographed and videoed by Wooden Ships in November 2016. One of our most elegant sailing yachts for sale.

Traditional river cargo sailing barge for sale

A fascinating part of our maritime history, the Lynher is a Tamar Sailing Barge built to carry cargoes around Plymouth and the surrounding area. Rescued from the mud as a derelict hulk and rebuilt by a previous owner, she underwent another major rebuild which was completed in 2017 and she went into commercial work in 2019. The Lynher has been kept as original as possible with a deck layout much as it would have been when she was working. Below decks her cargo hold has been kept as a large open space, perfect for exhibition work. Of course this could be adapted to suit any future need and she could be looked on as a blank canvas for her new owners.
