Please fill in this form and we will contact you about this boat

NEW

Clinker pram dinghy built by Jim Stone of Portlemouth, Salcombe in the 1960’s. An early example of using plywood with glued lands to create a rigid yet light weight boat without the need for steamed timbers.  The glued lands mean she does not suffer from drying out and subsequent leaking which can be a big attraction. Varnished inside and out, the boat is in lovely condition and complete with oars and rig. A good stable load carrying dinghy, perfect for messing about on the water or as a tender to a larger yacht.

Enquire about Uffa Fox Jolly Boat

Please fill in this form and we will contact you about this boat

NEW

The Jolly Boat was designed by Uffa Fox, reportedly when he realised he was ‘getting a bit thick aft’ and wanted a performance boat with more space that was also able to carry four or five adults for a picnic. The design once held a monohull speed record, averaging 17.8 knots in timed trials. Double diagonal hull making her very light and rigid, this planing hull dinghy became a huge success in various parts of the world. This boat had a major refit 10 years but has not been sailed since and is in need of some finishing work to make her ready for sea. The hull and decks seem basically sound and she comes with her rig and sails, plus a galvanised road trailer and piggy back launching trolley
