NEW

Scorpion sailing dinghy built in 1964 by the SWALE Boat Builders to the standard Scorpion design. Owned by the present owner since 1969, she has mostly been dry stored and sailed on summer holidays. Recently re-varnished and painted, she is looking smart, sat on her road trailer and ready to go. Rigging was replaced in 2010 and the sails are from 2006. A fast and exciting boat to sail, not competitive in the modern fleets but still capable of some club racing. This represents a lot of cheap fun.

Enquire about Coves Launch Project

Please fill in this form and we will contact you about this boat

NEW

Built by Coves of Salcombe in 1946, the first pleasure boat they built after the War, she worked as a hire boat on the Salcombe estuary for many years. Latterly the hull was sheathed externally in GRP due to rot and general wear and tear. The timber under the sheathing is in poor condition is several areas. It would not be prudent to think the sheathing could be removed to restore the wooden hull to original sound condition, she is a very pretty boat that needs to be accepted for what she is and simply enjoyed.
