Wooden Ships Comments on this 12’6″ Nick Smith Motor Launch
Clinker motor launch built by Nick Smith of Salcombe in 2006. A replica of one of the original Salcombe hire boats built by Edgar Cove in the 1950’s.
Little used and maintained by the builder throughout, this is a superb little launch with an excellent road trailer and combination launching trolley.
All ready to go for the summer and looking superb.

Clinker planked in Khaya mahogany all copper rivet fastened to steam bent oak timbers.
Oak stem and centreline with a mahogany transom.
Straight laid teak fore and aft decks.
Mahogany capping rails with oak rubbing strakes.
Mahogany thwarts with oak supporting knees.
Solid wooden sole boards.
Mahogany and oak engine box with sound insulation.
Transom hung mahogany rudder on bronze hangings.
