Wooden Ships Comments on this 13′ Cove’s launch
Clinker launch designed and built by Coves of Salcombe in 1948. Refitted for the present owners by a local shipwright approximately eight years ago with all new gunnels, fore and aft decks and new thwarts. The hull is largely original and in very sound condition.
She comes complete with a full set of thwart cushions, an all over boat cover and a trolley.
The boat has been very lightly used in recent years and the engine has very few hours on it.
This immaculate little launch is in superb condition and is a very complete package ready to go.
Construction
Clinker planked in larch on steamed oak timbers, all copper fastened.
Oak stem and back bone.
Small foredeck and aft deck in straight laid mahogany with Sikaflex paying compound.
Varnished mahogany gunnels and thwarts all new
Machinery
Beta Marine 10hp twin cylinder diesel installed new approximately four years ago. Very low hours and regularly serviced.
Stainless steel shaft to 3 blade bronze propeller with single lever controls.
Original copper fuel tank under the fore deck. New fuel lines and filter unit installed.
