Francois Vivier Portzic Dinghy

Wooden ships Comments on this Francois Vivier Portzic Dinghy

Francois Vivier Portzic design, built by Nick Twist in Cornwall in 2006.  Dry stored since 2014 in a secure barn.

The original Portzic plans were created for an English yachtsman who had seen the impressive tenders used by fishing boats in Brittany and wanted something similar as a tender to his traditional yacht.  The are typical ‘cods head/mackerel tail’ shape, terrifically stable and easy to row or scull.

Vivier modified this boat from the original plans to be stronger as she was intended to be kept on a tidal beach.  The construction makes for a very tough little boat, over engineered some would say, but certainly built to last.

She comes with a Bramber road trailer, rig, electric outboard and cover.

A very eye catching little boat in superb condition.
