Iain Oughtred Elfyn sailing dinghy, one of Oughtreds most coveted designs based on the Norwegian Faerings. They are superb for both rowing and sailing, effortlessly cutting through the water.
The boat can be rowed by one or two people in comfort.
Her traditional spritsail rig is easy to set and with the low aspect mast she is easy to rig up and handle.
The boat comes with a good quality breakback road trailer which means she can be launched and recovered easily without submerging the whole trailer.

Construction
Marine plywood hull bonded with West System epoxy.
Oak, stem, keel and stern post.
Mahogany gunwhales and capping rail.
Iroko thwarts.
Plywood dagger board in a plywood dagger board box. Plug to insert in the box when rowing to create a drag free hull.
Rig
Spritsail rig on an unstayed varnished wooden mast and varnished wooden spritsail yard.
Mainsail and jib in white terylene.
Mainsail sheets to thumb cleats on each quarter.
Machinery
Bracket on the stern to take a small electric or petrol outboard motor. Motor not included.
