Ian Oughtred Puffin dinghy Puffin dinghy designed as a light and easy to use sailing and rowing dinghy.
Her origins are not known but she has evidently been built to a good standard and is ready to use this summer.
These dinghies are very light due to their plywood construction and so are incredibly easy to handle, launch and sail. Ideal for simple enjoyment on the water.
She comes with a complete inventory including a cover, road trailer and combination launching trolley so is ready to be towed away and taken sailing.

Construction
Clinker planked in epoxy glued plywood, varnished internally and finished in white externally with a varnished sheer strake.
Sawn wooden floors across the centreline for added strength.
Varnished mahogany transom.
Varnished plywood centreboard case with a plywood centreplate.
Solid varnished wooden gunnels and rubbing strakes with 2 rowing positions.
Varnished wooden thwarts with sawn knees for strength.
Varnished mahogany rudder with stainless steel pintles.

Gunter rig on a varnished wooden mast with varnished wooden boom and yard.
Stainless steel standing rigging held with lanyards to internal bronze chain plates.
Mainsail and jib in cream terylene
