Wooden Ships Comments on this Ian Oughtred Tammie Norrie
The Tammie Norrie is another highly successful design from Ian Oughtred with exceptionally pretty lines. Built by the owner and launched in 2012, this is one 9 boats built by him and is finished to a very high standard.
The Tammie Norrie was designed to have reasonable performance under sail and oar, she can be rowed easily by one or two people and slips along very nicely, while she is comfortable carrying 4 people when sailing. The hull is of moderate beam with good load carrying capacity, making her perfect for the sailing family wanting an attractive yet fun boat to enjoy in safety and comfort.
The glued plywood hull makes her very light and strong plus she will not dry out during periods ashore. She comes with a galvanise road trailer with piggy back launching trolley and an all over cover so she is ready to go sailing this summer.
