Wooden Ships Comments on this Pettersson Motor Launch

Classic motor launch designed and built by C.G. Pettersson of Sweden in 1925.

A stunning varnished mahogany launch with typical Pettersson lines, refitted by Clare Lallows yard in Cowes to a very high standard.  Refurbished hull with a new deck, all new cockpit fit out, new Beta engine and new wiring.  The restoration was completed in 2012 and she has been stored ashore inside for much of the time since, only being used on sporadic occasions.  Commissioned and launched for the summer of 2026.

Her Beta Marine 56hp engine gives her a cruising speed of 11 knots (14 knots max), a speed which covers the ground at a very acceptable rate and makes her a practical and useable run about.

These launches are very hard to come by in the UK so finding a Petterson launch in such remarkable condition represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a stand out motor launch of excellent pedigree.

2025 survey available.
