Wooden Ships Comments on this Rossiters Rowing Skiff

Clinker rowing skiff built by Rossiter Yachts of Christchurch in 2000.  Built for the present owners, she has been professionally maintained by Rossiters ever since, kept indoors and is presented in immaculate condition.

2 rowing positions with foot stretchers and a cox seat back aft.

Complete with a custom fitted all over cover.

Superb rowing skiff ready to go afloat.

Construction

Clinker planked in mahogany all copper rivet fastened to steam bent oak timbers.

Mahogany capping rails and inwhales.

Iroko keel with a laminated oak stem and mahogany transom.

Varnished mahogany thwarts with sawn mahogany supporting knees.  The aft thwart has a supporting back for the cox.

Slatted hardwood sole boards.

Varnished mahogany rudder with ropes for steering.
