Wooden Ships Comments
The design of this pretty skiff is based on a rowing skiff from Oregon and was built in 2019 by a boat builder from Cornwall, James Baker. Constructed and built to a professional standard, in as new condition. Recently given a complete cosmetic refit, the boat has only ever been launched a few times and is in immaculate condition.
This type of boat would commonly have been a working skiff or as a tender to a larger vessel. Easily rowed by one or two people, with a design that allows it carry reasonable loads. This boat has been built in epoxy glued plywood which makes her extremely light, easily lifted on and off a yacht if she is to be used as a tender, but also easy to launch by one person from a trailer. She could also be lifted and carried on a roof rack if desired.
