Twinkle 12 clinker sailing dinghy that was in the same family ownership for over 40 years until sold to the present owner in 2020. She has been stored ashore inside a barn for the majority of the last 2 years with occasional use.
Built by Wright and Sons Ltd of Ipswich to the Twinkle 12 design, a dinghy designed for the Burnham Overy Staithe Sailing Club where there is still an active fleet.
Thorough refit in 2016/17 including new sails and varnish throughout, used lightly for the grandchildren in the summers since then but now unlikely to be of use so a new caring home is sought.
A complete package with as new sails, all over cover (2017) and a combination launching trolley/road trailer. In need of some varnish work and will need to take up when launched, but otherwise ready for the summer. A very complete and pretty boat, perfect for getting the family afloat.
Construction
Clinker planked in varnished mahogany all copper rivet fastened to steam bent oak timbers.
Mahogany transom.
Varnished plywood side decks and foredeck with a varnished mahogany coaming all round.
Varnished mahogany thwarts
Wooden centreplate and varnished wooden rudder and tiller.

Bermudan sloop rig on varnished wooden mast and boom
Mainsail and jib new in 2017 from Nicholson Hughes Sails.
Stainless steel shrouds and forestay. External bronze chain plates.
Mainsheet track across the top of the transom.
