Wooden Ships Comments on this 14′ Clinker Rowing Dinghy
Clinker rowing dinghy built in Fowey in the 1980’s. Recent professional refit with a complete paint job inside and out and new woodwork where necessary.
A very elegant boat with a nice sheer, subtle tumblehome to the transom and a raked stem. 2 rowing positions with an aft thwart.
The hull has been strongly built making her a tough and practical rowing boat currently in excellent condition and ready to tow away.

Construction
Clinker planked, copper fastened to steam bent oak timbers. Timbers stretch from gunnel to gunnel across the centreline to add strength.
New capping rail in oak and inwhales in larch, recently fitted.
New opepe transom fitted.
2 rowing thwarts with heavy hanging knees. Aft thwart with heavy hanging knees.
Painted slatted wooden sole boards.
Galvanised fairleads on the bow with a galvanised ring fastened to the inside of the stem.
