Wooden Ships Comments on this Iain Oughtred Acorn 12 Rowing Skiff

Acorn 12 rowing skiff designed by Iain Oughtred.  Built by the owner and finished in early 2024.

This boat has never been afloat or used, she is in as new condition.  The owner has built numerous Oughtred designs with this method of construction and has a real talent for building and finishing his boats to a high standard.

This skiff comes with a very good quality galvanised road trailer.  If not needed by the buyer the owner is happy to keep the trailer out of the deal.

The Acorn is a beautiful boat to row, well balanced with stunning lines.  Her epoxy plywood construction means she is lightweight and stiff and will require minimal maintenance in the years to come.
