Wooden Ships Comments on this Trearddur Sailing Club One Design
Trearddur Sailing Club One Design sailing dinghy built by Dickies of Bangor in 1946.
The design was first produced in 1935 for the sailing club on Anglesey by nearby Dickies after a request from the club for a one design racing dinghy to suit the coastal waters of the Menai Straits.
This boat won the TBSC Novice cup numerous times along with various other local trophies.
She had a professional refit in 1998 and during the current 10 year ownership she has been well maintained and upgraded as necessary.

Construction
- Clinker planked in silver spruce all copper rivet fastened to steam bent Canadian rock elm timbers.
- Painted hull with varnished mahogany sheer strake and oak rubbing strake.
- Elm keel, mahogany transom and oak stem.
- Mahogany centreplate box with a galvanised centreplate.
- Varnished mahogany thwarts.
Rig
- Gunter rig on varnished wooden spars.
- Stainless steel standing rigging with lanyards to external bronze chain plates.
- Red terylene mainsail and jib. New from Sanders Sails in 2014.
