Wooden Ships Comments on this E. J. Burt & Sons Sailing Dinghy
Built by well know Cornish boatyard E.J. Burt and Sons based in Falmouth. This yard started in 1930 and it is believed this is one of their early boats so will be nearly 100 years old.
Rebuilt by D. Penrose Shipwright between 2007-2008 for the late owner.
Kept by the late owner in Mousehole for many years and used for sailing around Mounts Bay with a bit of fishing and exploring.
She has sat ashore in a shed now for several years so will no doubt need some attention before going afloat. She had a thorough refit around 2012 and has only been used for a few seasons since that time
Complete with rig, oars and trailer this is a little gem of Cornish maritime history that deserves the attention of someone who will care for and use her. The boat retains her original name, She’ll Do.
