Wooden Ships Comments on this Gunter sailing dinghy

A pretty boat used for many years by the sea scouts on the Thames.  In present ownership for many years, she was rebuilt by Fowey based shipwright Peter Williams in 2008 with all new steamed timbers and planks where necessary.

A pretty boat with good stability and able to carry several crew, perfect for exploring creeks and rivers.

Needs cosmetic attention to paint and varnish.

Construction

Clinker planked in larch all copper fastened to steam bent oak timbers.  All timbers replaced in 2008 refit.

Varnished mahogany sheerstrake and rubbing strake.
