Wooden Ships Comments on this Gaff Ketch

Built in Freest, Germany in 1943 as a North Sea and Baltic fishing vessel, she spent her early years fishing in rough offshore waters before being converted to a yacht in the 1980’s in Holland.  Full photographic record of this conversion which included new decks, deckhouse, rig and complete interior fit out.

Sold into UK ownership and brought to Wales where she had a thorough refit in 2019 including new rigging and work on the hull.

A very substantial and capable vessel with a large rig giving her very acceptable sailing performance.  Voluminous accommodation space with 8 berths including a double aft and all domestic facilities including washing machine and drier.
