Wooden Ships Comments on this 9 ton Hillyard
David Hilliard built hundreds of boats from 2 ½ tons to 29 tons and they were, and still are, immensely popular. The 9 tonner centre cockpit design gave 2 separate sleeping cabins + a saloon which is ideal for extended cruising. The present owners bought her in 2005, and did a full refit in 2011 prior to a 3yr cruise down the French canals to Italy and back.
