Golden Vanity is a famous yacht, built for the artist Arthur Briscoe in 1908, she has worked as a youth sail training vessel for many years, teaching many adults and children alike the joys of sailing a traditional vessel. West Solent One Design built by the Berthon Boat Co. Ltd in 1927. Taken to the Cantiere Navale Dell’Argentario in Italy, a yard known for working one some of the finest classic yachts in the Mediterranean for a refit in 2020 including a complete new deck structure, new sails and equipment. She has competed in the big classic regattas in the Mediterranean and proved to be an excellent yacht. She is easily handled and does not require a large crew so can be campaigned in the big regattas on a very sensible budget. Well equipped and smart yacht.

One of the most famous of the McGruer 8 meter Cruiser Racers, one of 15 built by Mcgruers. This was a strong and competitive fleet on the Clyde through until 1975, providing exciting racing in elegant yachts that also offered comfortable accommodation for crew between regattas. Well maintained by her current owner, she is a very original yacht with many original features and fittings. Impeccably presented both inside and out, this is a yacht full of pedigree and class.

A very popular and respected design from the office of John G. Alden & co. Inc. built by the Wing on Shing Shipyard, Hong Kong in 1961. Major professional rebuild in 2001, lightly used and wintered inside every year since that refit. Work included new keel bolts and checking all fastenings, complete new interior, all new rig including mast and sails, new systems and wiring. New Beta Marine engine in 2020. Kept up to a high standard and used for classic racing and local cruising, this is a superb example of the class that provides a lot of volume for the length and is truly ready to go sailing.

A terrific blend of naval architecture from Sparkman and Stephens, coupled with the fine yacht-building skills of the McGruer yard produced this very special and quite unique yacht to the 8-meter Cruiser Racer rule. Designed by Robert Clark and Built by Berthons to Lloyds 100A1 standard. Teak and pitch pine hull planking, arguably the two best timbers for boat building. Major refit in 2014/2015 with structural hull repairs as well as all new systems. A sleek and elegant yacht with a good turn of pace but easily sailed short handed with plenty pedigree and patina.

Launched in Falmouth in 1906, one of the first yachts in the UK registered with Lloyds as having an engine plus her 'sparks' internal lighting. A chequered history lead to her being discovered abandoned in Glasgow, subsequently rebuilt and re-launched in 2001. Purchased by The Island Trust in 2012 and used for youth sail training ever since. Another major refit in 2016 with keel off, new stem and new centreline floors and fastenings. She holds an MCA Cat 2 commercial licence for 8+2 crew and will be sold with all gear and equipment required for that licence. 10 berths in total with 6'6" headroom. Yanmar 75hp diesel engine. Designed and built by David Cheverton in 1958, she was awarded Yacht of the Year in 1959 after a superb racing season during which she largely wiped the floor in the UK yacht racing scene.
