She has crossed the Atlantic and also circumnavigated the UK twice proving herself as a capable and comfortable cruising yacht. Built in Ireland to fishing vessel specifications, she was finished off by an RNLI engineer and launched in 1991. A very robust hull of iroko planking on oak frames. RNLI alloy wheelhouse gives her a purposeful look. Her hull shape is unusually fine in the ends means she sails surprisingly well, this is not a blunt fishing boat hull. Interior fit out gives 6 berths in 2 sleeping cabins plus the saloon. New Beta 90hp engine in 2022. A large rig gives her surprisingly good performance under sail. New rigging 2018 and recent sails. Daniel Fyfe Loch Fyne Skiff Gaff Cutter

Designed by Scot Daniel Fyfe, a relation to the first William fife of Fairlie and built on the Clyde in 1895 for Noel Guinness of the brewing family. Her lines are based on those of the Loch Fyne Skiff, a capable, seaworthy and very attractive Scottish vessel. Rebuilt by the current shipwright owner over a 27 year period, launched in 2022. Complete new hull, decks and interior finished to a very high standard. A superb blend of history, pedigree and modern practicality make this a rather magnificent yacht.

Built in 1959 for ocean racer Selwyn Slater as a larger development of his previous and successful Uomie. Ramrod had a distinguished racing career and was one of 3 boats in the '59 winning Admirals Cup team as well as victories in a number of other offshore races. Lyle Hess 32 yacht for sale

Lyle Hess 32 designed by the famous American naval architect and built in Malaysia by the Haji Abdullah Bin Muda shipyard in 1991. She was built for the son of high ranking politician Teo Eng Tat. Built from the hardwood Chengal which is a resilient and highly durable wood. Major works completed by UK yards in 2007 and 2018 including a complete new deck, interior and new gaff cutter rig in 2018. The usual Hess rig was bermudan cutter on an alloy mast, this new gaff rig looks superb and makes her go extremely well. A very smart and well cared for yacht.

After passing through several owners and crossing the Atlantic, she was bought by the current owner while lying neglected in Bermuda and a major refurbishment commenced, ending with her being launched in 2023 at the same yard in which she was built in Suffolk.
