Built by Elkins of Christchurch, one of the most well known yards for building this famous Laurent Giles design. Top quality build with bronze floors, lead keel and bronze keel bolts. Maintained to a very high standard, detailed history of ownership and maintenance. New Nanni diesel engine in 2015, new rigging in 2014, various recent sails. Well equipped and ready to go cruising. Recent survey was very complimentary of her condition. A lovely example of this famous design classic sailing yacht.

Sparkman and Stephens design No.153, built in 1949 in Hong Kong. All teak hull and totally original teak interior joinery. She has been in the current family ownership since 1967 and is now in need for a restoration. Built by the Bute Slip Dock Ltd in 1961 to an Alfred Mylne design. 5 berths with over 6' headroom, a surprisingly spacious boat with lovely lines and good sailing characteristics. Set up for short handed sailing, her masthead sloop rig is easy to handle even for one person. New mast from Collars in 2016. In need of work in the next ownership including repairs to the deck and a full cosmetic refit. A very elegant yacht, priced sensibly taking into account the work that is required.

Traditional wooden gaff yawl for sale

The Falmouth Quay Punt was a class of working vessel around the port of Falmouth. The design was yawl rigged with a plumb stem, elegant transom and a god depth in hold. The lines were used often to build yachts as they had proved to be excellent sea boats and easily handled. This is one of the smaller examples at 26' but no less pretty or capable. Major 1990 refit in preparation for a long voyage which did not happen. 2011 Beta engine, 2023 keel bolts. A very pretty boat with good headroom and interior space, full of charm, history and pedigree.

Traditional gaff cutter yacht for sale

Built in 1905 by Ashton and Kilner of Poole, launched as a yacht for her first owner. In 1911 she was purchased by a Henry Carson and he cruised the boat extensively up to Russia and around the Mediterranean, voyages that were written about extensively in Yachting Monthly and the Cruising Association logs of the time. Purchased by the current owners in 1983, major repairs have been undertaken over the years including new planking and framing, new cockpit, all new interior and a new rig. Although only 26' LOD she has the feel of a much larger yacht and is certainly a comfortable, capable and elegant cruising yacht that appears to be in fine fettle as a result of her current long and careful ownership.

For the last 60 years she has been owned by a syndicate group which has enabled her to be sailed regularly and maintained by a committed and enthusiastic group of owners and friends. Major 2006 refit with 50% new planking and many new steel frames. 2020 mizzen mast and 2011 Beta engine. A very fine pedigree yacht that could continue to be used as she is, or put through a major refit to bring her back to her original configuration of flush deck and gaff yawl rig.
