Acorn 15 rowing dinghy designed by Iain Oughtred.  Built by the first owner in 2013, he was a professional carpenter and built the boat for himself as a hobby.

Used very little by the first owner, he passed away and the boat was put into dry storage until 2020 when she was purchased by the current owner.

Complete with a good quality road trailer and 2 pairs of oars.

An elegant rowing boat, suitable for either 1 or 2 rowers with space in the stern for a cox.

Construction

Clinker planked in marine plywood, lands all epoxy glue fastened.

Laminated oak stem with an oak keel and transom.

Oak floors across the centreline epoxy glued to the hull.

Oak gunwhales and rubbing strakes. 2 rowing positions built into the gunwhales. Bronze bow fairleads.

3 thwarts on douglas fir with laminated oak hanging knees.

Scrubbed wooden sole boards screwed to the floors.

Adjustable oak foot stretchers attached to the sole boards.

Marine plywood rudder with bronze hangings. Tiller quadrant with steering lines.
