Wooden Ships Comments on this Swedish Bermudan Yawl

Designed by A.F. Ameen and built in Sweden in 1936.

She was written about extensively by Uffa Fox who wrote a glowing tribute to her design saying “she combines speed, comfort and sea keeping ability in a wonderful manner, and is a great credit to her designer”

Designed for the 1937 Gutland Rund race she was built in Sweden from first class materials, she has a varnished hull and laid teak decks, the epitome of the classic yacht.  She had a major rebuild in 1997 including a new stern post, garboards, rudder and a compete new deck plus a re-caulked hull, and another refit in 2014 saw some frames repaired, the interior improved and lots of new equipment added.

A truly elegant and eye catching yacht with great performance at sea, she would make a superb boat for someone wanting to partake in the classic regattas in comfort and style.
