Clinker pram dinghy built by Wootton Bridge Industries on the Isle of Wight in 1965.

Beautifully restored by the current owner and finished to a very high level, complete with oars and rig.  She has 2 rowing positions depending on what loads you are carrying and can easily be sailed by adults and children alike.  Ideal for the youngsters to learn on the water but also very suitable as a smart tender to a larger yacht.

Very smart dinghy in ready to go condition.

Construction

Clinker planked in mahogany copper rivet fastened to steamed oak timbers.

Brass rubbing strips on the hull to take the ground.

Varnished mahogany transoms with oak lodging knees

Varnished mahogany rubbing strake and coir fender.

Varnished mahogany thwarts with 2 rowing positions.

Varnished pine sole boards.

All bronze fittings

Varnished mahogany centreplate and centreplate box and transom hung rudder with bronze hangings

 

Rig

Spritsail rig on a varnished pine mast with varnished pine boom and sprit.

Simple stainless steel standing rigging with a pair of shrouds and a forestay.

Single sail in white terylene.  Main sheet to a rope horse across the transom.

Halyard and sprit downhaul make up on bronze cleats on the mast.
