Wooden Ships Comments on this Lug Rigged Day Boat

Designed by Antonio Dias as his entry into the 1995 design competition for the Kotka International Wooden Boat Show in Finland.  She was built at the Lyme Regis School of Boatbuilding in 1998.

The whole build process was documented in a series of articles in Wooden Boat magazine between 1998-1999.  She was thoroughly tested after the build and obtained an RCD certificate.

The design was aimed at sea scouts or large families, she has a large internal volume with good stability.  Her 2 mast lug rig is easy to handle and set up, it all stows within the length of the boat for transport and she can be rigged by one person in a short period of time.  She was also designed with open water sailing in mind, her high freeboard making her capable of taking a bit of weather.

She comes with an all over canvas cover and is on a relatively new Extreme road trailer in ready to go condition.  She has a small Honda outboard engine used for getting in and out of harbour when necessary.
